Department for Regional Development and Strategic Planning

OThe Department is responsible for activities related to strategic planning, which include coordination of the development, formulation and implementation of strategic planning documents for the Varazdin County region, which define development directions and strategic goals, aligned with national and strategic EU guidelines. It is also responsible for verifying the compliance of strategic planning documents and issuing decision confirming their compliance. If necessary, the Department’s employees are also involved in the preparation and implementation of regional and national strategic documents.

In these aforementioned tasks, the Department employees are engaged in the work of all relevant bodies at the county, regional, national and international level.

Additionally, the Department implements and coordinates information and counselling activities for users of JURA services, organizes presentations, seminars, round tables, conferences and other events closely related to the field of strategic planning.
